About Dr. Jennifer Hochman
Dr. Jennifer Hochman is a Florida Licensed Psychologist who earned a Doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in 2001. She specializes in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention to treat Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and other anxiety disorders. She also completed the Behavior Therapy Training Institute, a course given by the International OCD Foundation, that provides intensive training in CBT.
Dr. Hochman received her undergraduate degree, with Honors, at the University of Michigan and also completed her doctoral internship at the University of Michigan Counseling and Psychological Services Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After her internship, she obtained a staff position at Barry University’s Counseling Center in Miami, Florida, where she provided therapy to undergraduate and graduate students. Following that position, Dr. Hochman served as the clinical director of the Anxiety Treatment Center at the NSU Psychological Services Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In that role, she trained and supervised doctorate students who provided therapy to individuals in the community struggling with OCD and anxiety related disorders.
Additionally, while in private practice, Dr. Hochman spent years working closely with internationally recognized OCD specialist, Dr. Bruce Hyman. Dr. Hyman spent decades treating clients with OCD and was well known as a pioneer in the OCD field, having written the national best-seller, The OCD Workbook: Your Guide to Breaking Free From Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Dr. Hochman considers it an honor and privilege to have worked closely with Dr. Hyman and knows he will be missed by all who knew him.
