CSP-Goal
A self-help group to enable people who suffer from Compulsive Skin
Picking Disorder to support each other on the challenging path to
wellness. CSPD involves compulsive, habitual picking, squeezing

biting areas such as cuticles, inside of cheeks, etc. Members are
expected to actively participate in habit reversal and to post at
least once a month. Many helpful strategies to combat CSP can
be found in The Habit Change Workbook by Claiborn and Pedrick,
although having the book is not a prerequisite for joining, any
strategy leading to success being acceptable. Recovery is our

The benefits of exercise are many, but it is often difficult to get
started and to keep going. Those of us with OCD and/or depression
often gain weight from meds and inactivity. OCD-babystepathon
offers support and encouragement from others in the same
situation. Start with baby steps and build to whatever level you
wish. We encourage walking because it can be done at any pace,
anywhere, and it's invigorating. Members report to the group about
their walks. If you are disabled, or cannot walk for long, do you use
water exercise or anything else? Tell us about that. We are also
interested in changing bad eating habits into healthy ones. We're
interested in a friendly exchange about walking (or your special
exercise) and healthy eating. Contact Louise, list owner, at

process. Also lending his expertise is Dr. Jon Grayson (of

Parents of Teens and Young Adults with OCD (OCD-POTAYA)
This is a new group for parents of teens and young adults, from
middle school to college age. Our children have needs and present
problems to us that are quite different from young children and
older adult children with OCD. As their parents, we must deal with
puberty, social interactions, sexuality, medication and therapy
resistance, driving, constant testing of the rules, school issues
including 504 Plans and IEPs, transitions through different school
levels - from elementary through to college, and the ultimate
challenge of transition to adulthood and independence. This will be
an active group, geared to helping each other to solve day to day
problems and provide the necessary emotional support that we all
need. We are fortunate to have Dr. Charles Mansueto and Dr. Lori
Kasmen, well known to parents who attend the OCF Conferences,
to work with us as advisors to the group. Please go to the URL
below to join.
